Medical Risk Management LLC and KLN Specialty Insurance Agency LLC announce hiring of Director of Risk Management Services

Monday, March 17, 2008: Monday, March 17, 2008 (HARTFORD, CT): Medical Risk Management LLC (MRM) [www.1mrm.com] and KLN Specialty Insurance Agency LLC (KLN) [www.klninsurance.com] announce the hiring of Trent R. Sullivan, Director of Risk Management Services.

Mr. Sullivan has spent over 13 years in the healthcare and insurance industry. He has been involved in Quality and Utilization Management prior to becoming involved in Risk Management and Insurance. Before joining MRM/KLN, he spent five years as the Director of Risk Management at Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) where he was responsible for development and implementation of the risk management plan, organizational loss prevention, claims management and insurance solutions. Mr. Sullivan also formed a medical malpractice and general liability captive insurance company for ECHN. He as lectured to physicians, nurses, administrators in the acute care setting, office practice and long term care setting. He was the chair of the Connecticut Hospital Association’s Risk Management Group and is the current President-elect of the Connecticut Society of Healthcare Risk Managers. Mr. Sullivan received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut with a concentration in healthcare management and an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of Hartford.

Mr. Sullivan’s role at MRM will be to support existing and new clients in their efforts to improve the quality of care delivered to patients, improve patient safety and reduce malpractice losses. His role at KLN will be to assist with the various brokerage services that KLN provides to its new and existing clients.
