Do you Qualify?

MQI Eligibility

1. Medical groups (3 physician minimum). Strict underwriting standards at time of the application and continue as long as you are in the program.
   
   
2. Board certification for all group members or 2 years to complete for residents/fellows.
   
   
3. No closed/open claims with indemnity payment/reserves greater than $100K in the past 10 years. Practices of 10 or more where 80% of the physicians meet this criteria will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
   
   
4. No disciplinary actions by any state licensing board or hospital in the last 10 years. No adverse underwriting characteristics which could impact your ability to practice with skill and safety.
   
   
5. Practices with a CCHIT certified Electronic Health Record in operation for 1 year or more are eligible for an additional 5% credit.
   
   
6. Participation in MQI risk management and quality improvement program, which includes;
   
   
   • Within six months of joining, each physician will be required to satisfactorily complete an on-site evaluation of all MQI physician practices within the first six months of joining the program. Each practice site must satisfactorily meet pre-defined program standards and are required to complete an annual physician practice assessment.
     
     
   • A Quality Improvement and Incident Reporting program system must be implemented by MQI participants.
     
     
   • Completion of an annual Loss Prevention seminar/program.
